Please support this bill if it comes back. We may try to get it introduced some time again in the near future. It would protect vehicles and hobbyists with Hydraulics or Pneumatics. It would also make use of these systems legal for street use before they pass a Bill banning these systems.
Chapter 90
Section 7p ½
| A person shall not raise or lower the height of a motor vehicle by mechanical means while the motor vehicle is moving on a public way at a speed in excess of 20 miles per hour. A motor vehicle with mechanical suspension traveling in excess of 20 miles per hour shall remain at near stock height, defined as the height at which the vehicle’s bumper would have been at the time of manufacture. Vehicles with mechanical suspensions, defined as a device used to alter a vehicle’s height through hydraulics or pneumatics, would be legal for use in the commonwealth provided that said conditions are met. |
