September 2005

We have a few things we would like to cover this month.

Hurricane Katrina Relief

The first and most important thing we would like to mention is the current situation in the gulf coast states.

As you know hurricane Katrina left loved ones missing, many people homeless, utilities not working, food and water in demand. These people NEED YOUR HELP right away. Many kind people in the lowrider community care to help the current situation. Many good hearted active clubs are raising money for the cause.

Many more clubs could still become involved in raising money for the hurricane victims. You can also help by donating money to the Red Cross or the Salvation Army. Make sure you say you want your donation to go to hurricane relief efforts.

Eternal Rollerz First Feature

We are proud to announce that Eternal Rollerz car club has got it's first vehicle featured in Lowrider Magazine. Jay of the Lowell, MA chapter appears in the November 2005 issue with his 1986 Chevrolet Caprice Classic Brougham. This is also one of the first cars from New England (Massachusetts) to be in a LRM feature.

We hope this feature brings more attention to our club and hopefully future features. We hope that this opens the door to LRM for everyone in the Northeast no matter what car club you are in.

It's time for all Northeast riders to UNITE and put the New England and Tri-State areas on the map!

Make sure you pick up an issue today and check out Jay's car!

Unity

Again this month we bring up the word UNITY. Some people try to mock us when we mention this but isn't it important to have UNITY? We really try to get along with all clubs but sometimes no matter what you do it won't happen. It really makes the custom car scene suck when people act like that. Someone will always have a big mouth or someone will always want to start rumors. Either someone has something smart to say online or behind your back. These same people have the audacity to question our motives as a club.

What motivates these people? Jealousy is probably a major factor. That's just human nature and jealousy has been around along as mankind itself. It's all ridiculous especially since we just want to do our own thing and enjoy our own cars without other people outside our club worrying about what we are up to. It's always bad news when another club gets too much into your own club's business. It's just bad news for any club and it causes a lot of problems when other car clubs become too involved in what you are up to.

That situation can be avoided when your own club members understand what ends up happening. It's cool to be friendly and work with other clubs for good causes but just remember what we're saying here. We are friendly with many other car clubs. Anyone who has been in a car club for a long time knows exactly what kind of drama we are talking about too. It gets tiresome and annoying when you know what's going on and have seen things happen OVER and OVER again because of the drama. Anyone who hasn't experienced the challenges of this first hand has a long and bumpy road ahead of them.

So, what is unity? Well, UNITY is working towards a common goal such as becoming active in SEMA SAN to lobby automotive laws. UNITY can be going to another car club's event with your own club to show your support for them. Sometimes UNITY is just keeping your mouth shut when you have nothing nice to say on the internet or in person. All we're asking is for everyone to keep things positive and do things that are positive for the community and the hobby / lifestyle.

ETERNAL ROLLERZ IV LIFE!
