NELA

Introduction:

Welcome to the temporary home of the NEW ENGLAND LOWRIDER ASSOCIATION. Lowriding has been in New England for more than a decade, slowly over the years it has became better in some ways and lacking in other ways. For lowriding to improve significantly in this region of the country it is going to take the efforts of many organized fellow lowriders. In other words it is time to step up the game! If no one makes any efforts to improve lowriding it will remain stalled where it is currently a decade from now in this region of the United States. Lowriding is no longer just about getting in your car and cruising, it is a multifaceted lifestyle that involves community, charities, positive press, and countless other activities. So whether you drove 400 miles to a car show or you wrote a letter to a state rep about some unfair legislation we all love the same thing! During 2005 LRM started looking at the New England riders and featured at least five issues mentioning various aspects of the movement in this region. More than ever we all need to improve the lowrider scene out here as they continue to look upon us. It's time wake up and think outside of our own car clubs and work all together as one united group. YOU CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE! Become part of lowriding history in New England. A seat at the round table is waiting for you at the next meeting.

Mission Statement & Goals:

  1. 1. Encourage all clubs to work together despite differences of opinions or past experiences with each other.
  2. 2. To learn more about other car clubs, people and businesses directly instead of hearing things second hand. The atmosphere would be fun, unbiased, and noncompetitive as well.
  3. 3. To inform each other of pending state legislation that can hurt our automotive hobby.
  4. 4. To Lobby against unfair legislation pending in the New England states.
  5. 5. A place to meet new faces and make new friends to cruise with.
  6. 6. Planning together to make charity events more successful.
  7. 7. To Bring positive press to lowriding in New England using various techniques.
  8. 8. Increase LRM's and TLM's awareness of the New England region.
  9. 9. To get various articles in lowrider related publications about events.
  10. 10. To get various cars from different car clubs and solo riders featured in these publications.
  11. 11. Have these publications send photographers to cover our events.
  12. 12. Helping better organize cruises and hanging out.
  13. Long Term Goals:
  14. 1. To improve the lowrider scene in New England enough for LRM to do a car show closer to Boston.
  15. If you join feel free to add to this list.

Who runs the New England Lowrider Association?

  1. This association is ran by all members of the NELA as equals. This is a round table setting and it will remain that way for all. Just because you are reading this on the Eternal Rollerz page doesn't mean we want to control the entire lowrider scene in New England. So don't panic and we hope you don't resent the association just because we brought up the issue. We would like to just see the scene improve because it could be much better than it currently is.

This isn't going to work why bother?

  1. It's not going to hurt anything to give it a try! If it didn't work out at least we can say we tried right?
